WebJun 2, 2011 · Hi, I have recntly bought a Pajero 2.8 TD, 1996 and I have several problems with it. My main problem is the gear change. In the morning I have about a 5 mile trip to work and it very rarely gets into top gear. If it gets into top gear just a mm on the gas and it changes back down immediately. It is a very easy job. The cover at the bottom takes longer to remove and re-install. The question remains: what is the root cause?
